Wiki for Standards

At the LSGB conference in Berlin, many of the presentations explained how the different Standards in the language industry do not necessarily tie in well with each other. This is as much as anything to do with the fact that the language industry is not only the world of translators but also of publishers, computer programmers and scientists.

It was proposed to start a wiki where the connections between Standards and Industries can be discussed. The most relevant factor to choose a wiki over mail lists or standard websites it was argued is that they allow for the refactoring of what is said.

[edit] Status

The Wiki is active and there is interest from several parties in this project. The issue is that we have not reached the tipping point yet where it provides enough relevant information for people to invest time and effort.
